Asnat’s Return
At the age of 20, Asnat Yusuph’ s life reflects the power of second chances. After facing challenges that forced her to leave school on 2024, her future seemed uncertain. Through a back-to-school initiative supporting students who wish to resume their education, Asnat received the support she needed to return to school and continue her academic journey.
Asnat left school after becoming pregnant and send away by her father. She went to live with her mother, where life was difficult, and continuing her education seemed impossible.
Through the support of OCODE, Asnat re-joined secondary school at Jupiter Open School. With dedication and guidance, she successfully completed her ordinary secondary education and achieved Division Two in her national examinations.
Reflecting on her journey, Asnat said, “Honestly, I am very happy. The support I received from OCODE gave me hope and restored my confidence. Now I believe my dream of becoming accountant will come true. I promise to study harder and continue achieving in my future studies.”
Her story is a powerful reminder of how targeted support and encouragement can transform lives. Today, Asnat serves as an inspiration to other youths, especially girls demonstrating that with the right support, it is possible to overcome challenges and achieve academic success. She is currently waiting to continue with form five on the same school that is Jupiter Open School.
